Percentage of villages not connected with Pucca road (X₉): This indicator reflects lack of accessibility to villages within the district. Lack of accessibility of village to Pucca roads puts severe limitation on individuals to access the health care services. Accessibility can help immensely for women suffering complications during delivery and treatment of various diseases in rural areas. In Begusarai district in Bihar none of the villages found not connected with the pucca road while Sonepur district in Orissa recorded the highest number of villages not connected to pucca roads (89.62 per cent).
