Percentage of Deaths registered (X_11b): This indicator is also important for estimating demographic parameters. The level of registration of deaths also gives an indication of the social and economic development of the district. Among the entire districts in India, Delhi recorded the highest estimated percentage of deaths recorded while the lowest percentage was observed in Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh. 

This indicator is computed as

Index_11b = 100*(X_11b – 0.00/(100 – 0.00)

            = 100* ( X_11b)100

             = X_11b 

Higher the deaths registered in a district, higher the index value.
